Weeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!RandallPICS!------------------"All deaths are suicides, do you realize that? Every single one. The only distinction is that, with some people, suicide is a subconscious choice, and with others it's a conscious choice. Otherwise, those who commit suicide and those who succumb to accident, illness or "old age," die for exactly the same reason: belief in the inevitability of death." Linda GoodmanMoonWitchI see she is posting again? Or at least she was a day or two ago... That is good news!!charmainecI'm back and we're waiting for the pics!MoonWitchI didn't swim with the little lion. When we got there, I spoke with a woman at the hotel about it. She was apparently an animal lover. She said she doesn't recommend the sea lion encounter because it was "not nice." She told me there is only one sea lion there - they keep him in some aquarium - and the hotel employees hear him crying at night because he's lonely. She said he wasn't treated very well (the sealion encounter place wasn't affiliated with the hotel) and it made her sad.So I didn't want to partake in that. Of course, I struggled with that - wondering if it was better to not go out of principle or better to go and play with the little guy so he could have some fun and interaction. In the end I just wanted to sneak over there and set him free but he's likely not be able to survive in the wild.Catch-22's all around tuxedo meowoh, Moonwitch! i wish your encounter had been as great as you enthusiasm! I babysat stranded dolphins and they also cry out for their pods especially at night and especially on full moons...It's always a pleasure to be able to release them healthy.i wish we could get that little guy of yours home!if you are near San Fransisco there are many sea lions or seals there and we did go in the water where they were a long time ago.they look and sound like abunch of puppies in the water..The tides are treacherous at times tho. I wish for you another better more soul uplifting encounter. Tuxedo MeowMoonWitchThank you, tux!I live in Southern California. We have TONS of sea lions here but they are wild. We can get pretty close in the boat but I wouldn't want to bother them too much because they might feel threatened.I'll get my chance some time! I'll just make sure it's a place that takes care of their animals because I know places like that have to exist
